To print or not to print? Odds are that Fed Chairman Bernanke has been contemplating this question while drafting his upcoming Jackson Hole speech. The one good thing about policy makers worldwide is that they may be fairly predictable. World reknown peak oil guru, Robert Hirsch, gave The Business Insider his breakdwon of what a peak oil world looks like and what one should do to postion their personal affairs and their investment portfolio (see link at bottom of this post).  While we don't know exactly what this looks like, we are quite aware that natural resource scarcity is alive and well, so one needs to take responsibility to take the challenge head on.  A few tips that we advocate:

Staff favorite, Marc Faber, discusses the currency war that is going on.  He mentions that the Chinese don't particularlly like being pushed around by the likes of President Obama.  Kinda funny.  He nails it when he states that every country wants their currency low.

Gov. Christie Announces Sweeping N.J. Education Reform

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:276:]]If there was ever a poltician doing the right thing, it would be governor Christie from New Jersey.  CBS New York is reporting that Christie actually wants to hold government school teachers accountable and have them pass basic reading and math tests to be certified, and then to be paid on performance and not seniority.  Is there an chance that this guy might run for president?
