Material from Open Pit Added to Leach Pad - Freshly-crushed material on the leach pad currently amounts to approximately 70,000 tonnes, 25,000 tonnes from the Open Pit, 8,000 from the El Pozo prospect, and 37,000 tonnes from the heap proper. Ore continues to be added to the heap from El Pozo. No further tonnage is planned to be trucked from the Open Pit at this time.

Crusher Operations - A large rock fell from the crusher feed hopper on May 23, and landed on one of the travel wheels, breaking the leaf springs on both sides and necessitating the detachment of the entire wheel assembly. Down time was minimal, the spring package will be replaced shortly.

Accessing More Mineable Material - About 15,000 mineable tonnes is estimated to remain at El Pozo to be transported to the crusher. There are about 2,000 tonnes uncrushed on the ground at the crusher. A second lot of samples was delivered to Jacobs' Assay Lab in Tucson on Monday morning, June 2.

The El Este deposit, some 2 km E of the plant, will be reviewed in the near future. There are several promising surface assays and some old underground workings on the property.

Leach Pad Construction & Gold Plant Commissioning - Rectifier cables remain to be connected to the electrolytic cells. These are expected on site within a few days.

In the assay lab, the principal items still pending are the lamps for the atomic absorption (AA) assays of silver and copper and the furnace for smelting and cupellation of assay reagents. The Chief Assayer, Sr. Isaac Olguín, has been fine-tuning the AA apparatus.

SART Copper Recovery Plant - Dennerik construction supervisors are preparing to leave the site. Some items remain pending, generator connections, cable trays, etc.

Material agregado a los Patios de Lixiviación - El mineral recientemente triturado que reposa en el patio de lixiviación actualmente asciende a aproximadamente 70,000 toneladas, 25,000 toneladas provenientes del Tajo Abierto, 8,000 toneladas del proyecto El Pozo y 37,000 toneladas del mismo patio. Se sigue la adición al patio de mineral de El Pozo. No se contempla actualmente traer más tonelaje del Tajo Abierto.

Operación de la Quebradora - Una piedra grande cayó de la tolva de alimentación el 23 de mayo y llegó a parar en una de las ruedas de desplazamiento, rompiendo los muelles de ambos lados y haciendo necesario quitar el conjunto de las dos ruedas en su totalidad. Se perdió poco tiempo, el paquete de muelles será reemplazado a la brevedad.

Acceso a más material que puede ser explotado - Se estima que se queda algo como 15,000 toneladas de mineral en el prospecto El Pozo a ser transportadas a la quebradora. Hay alrededor de 2,000 toneladas sin triturar, provenientes del mismo proyecto que están en tierra cerca a la quebradora. El lunes 2 de junio se entrego un segundo juego de muestras al Laboratorio Jacobs en Tucson.

Se revisara en un futuro proximo el prospecto El Este, algo como 2 km al Este de la planta. Hay en el terreno unos ensayes prometedores y algunas labores subterráneas antiguas.

Rehabilitación de la Planta de Lixiviación y Puesta en Marcha de la Planta de Oro - Los cables de la rectificadora hacia las celdas electrolíticas aún quedan por conectarse. Se espera la llegada de esos cables en estos días.

En el laboratorio quedan pendientes las lámparas para los ensayes de adsorpción atómica (AA) de plata y cobre y el horno para la fundición y cupelación de reactivos. El Jefe del Laboratorio, Sr. Isaac Olguín está actualmente afinando el aparato AA.

Planta SART de Recuperación de Cobre - Los supervisores de Dennerik Engineering están por abandonar el lugar. Unas cuantas cosas faltan todavía, conecciones a las generadoras, bandejas de cableada, etc.
